| our new holland baler is older than yours a 283 but i believe the twine fingers are operated by a sort of cam lobe operating a roller equipped arm on a shaft that through linkage cycles the twine fingers.they are returned to home position by a coil spring.by hand cycle these by pushing on the arm with the roller full cycle and i suspect you will find some binding hindering the return cycle of these fingers.if all is proper they swing back to home position quickly easily.the tie cycle is simple but can try your patience if some part of it is not quite right.i hope i have been of some help--good luck. | |
