Casey IL. ( I -70 ) then south on rt.49 | I bought a big creep feeder 3yrs. ago I keep feed in it all the time . With out it this yr. in the drought my cows would not made it through very well, but instead came through in good flesh.
Now for the calves they usually start using creep at 30 days old. ( it doesn't take much to make a big differants. )
I wloud never go back to not using creep.
I guess I thought oats was more of a filler and made them shine ( nice hair coat ) I think I would put some protein in there with the oats. Also they wean easyer and take off on feed better.
