Subject: RE: Vermeer R2300 & R24A rakes

Wallis, TX
There was a guy around here making the older R23A's into hydraulic folding models and putting the hitch for the baler on them. Not worth the cost IMHO.

We ran an R-23A for years and traded it for a 2800 last year. The 23A was a good rake I just got tired of getting out and fighting the fold procedure. We sold it to a friend and he is happy with it and still running it. The 2800 is a lot of rake and does a better job in heavy, thick hay than the 23A, only time will tell if it holds up as well as the old one.
