If it was a revenue payment it would be made on all bushels, therefore in rising prices the payment is only for lost bushels as is the case with both corn and beans this year. That would mean that both checks are for physical loss and would be combined as one for deferral purposes. Iowa states extension person has a good example of this in his newsletter just google RMA crop insurance deferral by roger mcEowen.
