Thanks, I think I answered my own question this weekend. I had a tile giving me fits so I dug it up. I started looking at the soil profile. turns out their was roots all the way down to the tile (32 ish inches), plus night crawlers. It was amazing to see the little dark streaks running up and down in the soil profile from the worms, I believe. I guess I just need some reassurance I was doing the right thing.
