dont know where your at,but if it was me ,I would deep rip it and do, light tillage (feild culvate in spring) then plant,those soils are very heavy and tight,over 50% clay,diddnt have much luck no tilling those soils for corn,but when you work it in the fall and plant in the spring ,with any weather at all, we have had 240 bu corn on those soil types
