Southern MN | First thought upon opening this message is that you need to add some paragraph breaks to your message and stop using the -- to break up thoughts.
If you buy land, it takes a significant amount of upfront money, I'm not sure how much, but lets say 10% of total price. Now in your scenerio of renting, what did the guy renting do with that cash he didn't have to part with to buy land? Did he invest it and earn 8% on it in the stock market? Did he improve his equipment?
You can twist numbers many ways. It sounds like you put a good deal of thought into this and probably didn't overlook a whole lot, so trust your conslusions and run with it.
For the record, I too own no land, but renting is not always easy either since convincing landlords to rent to you can be challenging to impossible. | |
