I don't agree that all of these farmers are showing off or anything, I think plenty of them are just adding on to their operation like they always would. Many of the crazy prices per acre I've seen lately have been smaller tracts of land. Maybe the buyer is just looking at the total amount they can spend and they aren't concerned with a per acre price. Find a land sale with thousands of acres and an astronomical price and I'd bet a farmer didn't buy that. |
