Subject: Re: Old and New combine

South Central MN
Thought I would pass on some specifications about the AC combine. I have 3 books that came with the machine. Operators manual, setup and delivery manual, and parts book. Combine was made in about 1960. Model # 72. Grain tank is 25 bu. 6'header. Straw rack, wood and steel. OPTIONAL : grain tank or bagger.Shipping weight is 3670lbs. I have pictures of the combine with a corn head on. The cylinder rasp bars and concave are rubber coated. Any one know why they were rubber coated?? Grain damage maybe? The tractor is a JD 50. My Dads first tractor. Built in 1954. This is the third year we have run the combine. First year was oats and the last two years beans. My son says oats are ITCHY!
