So where is your area? Here we follow Monsanto's recomendation to spray after wheat harvest, then go back in late fall with another Glyphosate aplication plus atrazine to hold the stubble through mid May to June. If you put the Atrazine on early after harvest, it degrades so fast that it doesn't carry you through the winter. Of course if you are planting beans in the spring, atrazine might not be such a great idea anyway. This is to treat either summerfallow, corn, or millet acres for the next spring.
