Eastern Iowa
Oh, please.

It was only 4 years ago that lefty pundits declared the GOP a permanent minority party and that the Democrats would run government indefinitely. Were you one of them? It lasted all of two years. As I once read, Progs always race in to declare the "tide has turned." But tides come and go with regularity.

I'm disappointed at how the election turned out, definitely. But I know how powerful incumbency is for American presidents. There is a reason why it has only happened two times since 1932 that a President failed to win a second term after fulfilling his first full one. How long did the Libs run Canada? Who runs it now?

That was an extremely close race, one that I might add saw the President come out with 10 million fewer votes than he got his first time out, something that is unprecedented as well.
