It depends upon your situation & soil type. If your farm is in one general area & soil types are all similiar then enterprise is probably the best way to go. But if you're spread out, have several different types, or a unit in a county that is high risk then Optional units is the way to go. I farm in 3 counties. One county th farms are all located in a close vicinity & are similiar soil types & have fairly close APHs so I carry EU on corn & beans. Another county the farms are more scattered, soil types run from high yielding black soils to timber soils to flood prone river bottoms and APHs vary over 50 bpa from unit to unit. . Riverbottom has flooded out 3 of the last 4 years and were PP. If I carried EU in that county I would have never collected a penney on the bottoms though I wasn't able to plant them 3 of the last 4 years. For that county, "OU" is a no brainer.
