I'm not sure what your looking for but for just notes, Evernote is a good one. It uses notebooks to organize. It will sync with your pc or other devices once you have installed Evernote on that device, then the notes are accessible at home or whatever . With your phone or tablet you can take picture notes, record audio clips, pdf files, (I used this for a operator manual), and you can just type text. You can also combine these in one note. I have yet to get to its full potential. I would describe it as note taking on steriods.

One on my wishlist is an app to record and calculate date, run times on irrigation systems. I would like to be able to put other notes with that info, such as amount applied, rain fall, etc. I know that the iphone has a good database app Bento. I have tried a android app that is similar but couldn't get it to work as I wanted. Hopefully others will respond, it's a good topic.
