Missouri | I'll go with the futures price of $153. Thats it's job to predict the future/ while not perfect it is best available. Pretty thin ice between now and April, so much to factor. Corn, Economy,Cattle Numbers, Drought 2011/2012/2013. This industry has really evolved and continues to do so at a very rapid pace. Would not surprise me if Mark's $175 is not correct/ oh why did I print that. Cattle numbers are so short and going lower, safe bet stuff going into yards will be good property. Very possible record high prices set next few years. Lots of reasons, including printing press running 24/7 On the negative side $10 corn will be really hard on anything that eats corn. We will have that answer by Feb 2013. If got roughage might be a good time to carry some older pairs and split about then. Not fixed to corn price. Kill cows will be on the endagered list next year. Always a place for light calves, just a thought. | |
