Grand Island, Nebraska | We have run into similar situations and it is harder to find the problem with no codes showing. If it was in our shop, we would still hook up the test box and fully check the system. May or maynot find the problem. The test box plugs onto the main harness where it plugs into the controller and allows extensive testing of all components without unhooking any other connections. All it takes is a voltage drop in the right place and the draft won't work, yet it may not put up a code. The 7200s and the 8900s have a more sophisticated way to record faults that stay in memory until read and erased. Unfortunately the 7100 series doesn't have that and if you don't see it when it happens, it is gone. | |
