FWIW, Dan, my ground, same or similar soils as yours (5 miles away), tests reasonably well for pH and calcium (6.5 to 7.0). But, I have gravel roads on two sides that might provide some free lime, and the lowest test results are furthest from the roads. We haven't spread lime on them in years.
