Subject: Burned up here too! (Central/South Texas)

Texas
This is "year 2" of the current drought. We are 32" behind in the last 12 months. Sold another big chunk of the herd and all but the smallest calves last week. Prices down as well. Long range forecasts are not encouraging. Climitologist say it is due to the PDO (Pacific Decadal Oscillation). Last drought this bad was in 75, prior one was the "dust bowl" so it seems to be on time. Normal cycle for the PDO is supposed to be every 30-40 years.

No crops or hay. What little came up has long since been eaten by the grasshoppers.
