I think all xx90 models have the same row units.
The pin is the main pin that attaches the opener arm to the mounting clamp. It allows the row unit to pivot up and down. Mine all need to be replaced, the pin and bushings are about $60 per row.
I bought this drill from my neighbor and the customers he drilled for. I work for him in the winter time so I've worked on this drill before I even owned it. I think it was about the third year running it that we switched all the gauge wheels. They would just crack and break. We don't run that much down pressure, I try to keep it on the orange/red line in corn stalks and down to the green/orange line for bean stubble. The black JD metal rims seem to flex or loose the form around the bearing. which allows it to wobble and crack out around the rim or wear the hole out.
Most of my complaints are minor issues. I think I pry just had a bad day drilling. But still something to look at.
