| Hi. On a navistar powered 1680 with the wet clutch seperator engagment, the clutch may be wearing out on me. I was looking through my service manual that also includes the 1640 and 1660, and noticed that the pto looks the same, but the engaging machanism is like the ol' 1440 and 1460. I understand the newest 2388s also went back to this style.
My question is, can I remove the wet clutch assembly and convert to the hydraulic tightener style as on the 1660? Would it be a "bolt on" setup? I have a parts manual for the 1680, but not the 1660 so I cant find out if the pto housing is the same or not. In the service manual the pictures sure look the same. | |
