On www.ez-steer.com there are some payback scenarios that you may take inspiration.
Everybody's operation is different, what may true for one may not apply to his neighbour.
But there are some guidelines there, and on this forum some have already talked of the benefits that are important to them.

I have recently talked to some folks from down under: they told me they need RTK for seeding their crop so as to not seed in the very same spot they grew their crop the former year. They use a hydraulic offset on their implements so as to be able to use the same tracks season to season and thus reduce compaction. This would not be possible without GPS assisted steering.
Some other folks consider pass to pass precision and the benefits of reducing swath coverage a main factor.
Some other consider the possibility to have 'untrained' people plant precisely a decision factor.
Some other consider extending working hours, and thus worked acreage a decision factor.

When considering purchasing a unit, you have to decide on your own criteria, some of them will be killer criteria, but these killer criteria do not have to be the same as your neighbour's. This is why there is a thing called diversity.
