Subject: RE: HOW MUCH DOES GUIDANCE REALLY SAVE ?

SE South Dakota
Two years every minute we have used the JD autotrac trac it has not been "out to lunch". The thing just works. Pass by a tree or other obstruction and it might click off for an instant but than right back online. When I hear one this board of some systems giving trouble I generally have not found the same type of problems. Quite frankly any crooked rows in out fields (other than the planter wiggling from very loose soil) was caused by operater error, just get out of the seat for a bit without looking forward.... don't ask.

The markers only come down, maybe on end rows once in a while if the field edge is not straight. I guess now with the autotrac curves steering on the system I don't even need to put the markers down then.

Just what I have been seeing.
