Subject: reseeding an old hay field

Went to cut this field and there isn't much there, 5th year for it and last year was the best it had ever done. My ?? is do you think i could burn it off and come back in a week and no till a new seeding in it , the old seeding was timmothy-treefoil and that is what i would like to reseed. rotating it out to corn or beens is not an option as this field is very wet and belongs two townships west of here. would there be a toxicity (sp) with there little bit of treefoil that is left? I need to do some thing with this soon so the ground is back in production next year. thanks Matt
