We've been in the same boat as you CarlP. We have used JD no-till drills since the early '90s to seed our soybeans and were always happy with the results.......until about the last three years. We have finally gone back to splitting the corn rows with the corn planter..........and get beautiful stands all the time. I should take some pictures of the beans this year. We have neighbors that insist on planting beans at an angle with a no-till drill and with the newer high yielding Bt varieties, it just isn't working like it used to. They battle poor final populations, and their beans are constantly about two weeks bihind beans planted with a planter.......jmho. My uncle has a JD airseeder and does plant some beans for us, but we plant all the corn stalks with the planter.
