Where Lewis and Clark finished the rum

Here's some work done (not by me - but maybe in Ne??) with Crop Circle scanner. http://www.srvscience.org/Student/chuckster/CropCircle/new_page_1.h...
I think they claimed a pretty good R^2 between NDVI and soil probed OM. Looks like they took scanned values within 15m of the soil test point. We have been interested in these NDVI scanners to monitor crop during growing season, and haven't attempted this application yet. Maybe could have done some with them mounted on the back side of the combine header (before chaff and straw distribution), but harvest is a bit hectic here. We do use yield monitors and now on-the -go protein monitors to calculate N removed and are basing soil testing and N fertilization on that N removal map. Makes sense for us.
