Subject: Re: Raven Viper questions

The ViperPro was showing the weather data in a continuous stream, (direction, velocity, gusts, r.h., barometric pressure and humidity). I was told that you could be logging the weather data continously or do a snapshot to save as the data for that particular job. It was fascinating to see the data coming in, while we were running @ 26mph with the Smartrax, Autoboom and Accuboom and rate control (up to 5 products and 5 VRT) all running through the ViperPro. Very smooth set-up.

As I understand the communication, the ViperPro has an ethernet port which allows two-way communication through a wireless modem. A person in a remote location such as a home office, could be watching the ViperPro screen in real time as the operator is working in the field. The ViperPro is running on an embedded WinXP operating system, which opens up all kinds of possibilities. Apparently live internet access will also be available in future software releases. So you could be checking the weather radar while in the field and transfering jobs and maps to a home office etc. Exciting stuff!
