Subject: RE: will ILS put more power to the ground?

Western Iowa
I have an 8420 with the solid front, I have ran an ILS also before, frankly I notice little difference in the field. I do notice it on the road though, especially with a 16/31 kinze on back. ILS is much smoother on the road. Gets rid of the 'lumbar' that the planter, and even on the grain cart in road gear. It is not enough for me to dislike the tractor.

I would really recommend the good lights and the active seat. I really love both of them.

I have 480/34 on front and 520/46 on rears. I wouldn't want any less tire on the ground. I can't see getting the power to the ground with narrow fronts and 18.4-46 on back, let alone 42's. I don't have a chip and I can spin the tractor to the axles in 11th if I put the dirt scraper in too deep. I don't have front duals, maybe with them you can get by with a little less tire.
