1) Maybe. I doubt you are running 6 mph ALL THE TIME. In hard ground, or very loose ground, I doubt you are. A disc machine can go 6 mph all the time, except in VERY hard or rough ground.

2) No. If you go when it is damp, it will look fine from the cab, but you will be hairpinning badly.

3) Maybe on the canola freezoff.

4) Very trouble-free, but they are more expensive to run. We had a bone dry winter wheat seeding season here in SWND. A few guys had to shut down to replace blades and boots. They were absolutely SHOCKED how much wear they had after that. To seal NH3 with the MRB's (or SFP's according to Deere), the had to run 4 inches deep. The drill has the downpressure to do it, but it just smoked the blades.
