Subject: Re: MPG on new Cummins 6.7

Central / West Texas
My 04 got bad mileage at first then increased around 10k miles. I trade every 2 years and they came out with ultra low sulfur deisel here around early 06. Mileage on 04 was getting worse with every tankful of this stuff. It was averaging 12 when I traded. New 06 is exact same truck and got about 15mpg right away and has gotten up to 20mpg. I put a little additive in after every fillup though dealers says un necessary. Was going to get a new one in January but think I'm gonna hold off too many horror stories floating around here about the new 6.7 motors. Say if you leave it idle very long it clogs the pdf filter or something like that and no one seems to be getting very good mileage out of them. I only have 22k miles on my 06 so guess it will last me a little while, but its always nice to get something new.
