Tangent, OR | We've farmed 25 mile spread from tip to tip with warehouse in the middle. Trucking for us with that spread (20mi drive) was really pushing it. I would factor in johnny law and weigh stations into your decisions, one flat tire in harvest brings the whole show to its knees for the rest of the day if things aren't clicking. We would leave a spare truck in the field for that reason. If all went well it would have an empty drive to the field and one drive out once we left at the end of 800 ac | |
