SW Manitoba.
We farm land 45 miles to the east and north and also have land 20 miles o the west. We drive all the equipment to this land, never trailer anything. In harvest we haul all e grain back to main yard, and we have corn there this year (although we don't grow the bushels like some of you guys grow). As other have said, if it will break down, it will happen there. But you get used to it. And you learn tone more organized and try to work with neighbors when possible to minimize travel etc. when we are seeding we just don't go home. We have two seeding operators and we take turns sleeping and sending. Semi trucks are in the field with fertilizer anyway, so we always have a bed to get some shut eye. We go to nearest town, which is only 2 miles away for meals and drinks. Equipment road speeds are improving all the time, I would travel further than this if the and was good.
