Eastern Nebraska | You are describing typical ADHD complicated by the fact that her mother does not have the routine, discipline, structure etc.... They are not trying to be bad... They truly do not remember and they also do not transfer from one situation to another.... If you tell her in the toy section that she cannot run off from you she will get that... but it does not mean that she will understand the same thing in the grocery section... In her mind it is a different place.... It is very difficult for the parents as well and many people do not realize that.... You are doing a great job with her... Keep it up and your rewards in the end will be many.... | |
