North Central Oklahoma | I bought a 1850 air seeder two years ago. The blades on it have considerable wear on them, but stay very sharp. I have neighbors who have blades that aren't very old, but are worn blunt. One of my neighbors noticed that mine were put on backwards with the bevel on the wrong side.
My questions are:
Why have my blades stayed so sharp?
Why are my neighbors newer blades so blunt?
Can blunt blades be sharpened?
I don't want to invest in a new set of blades to have to replace them within 18 months because they won't cut through residue.
Thanks for any help. | |
