That's interesting that removing all the wires (every other one) made more difference than the 4 straight bars. Maybe I'll have to play around some more! I was running the vanes totaly retarded and this year moved them to the middle position for soys. I think it helps, but not a drastic improvement. I don't know what # translates to 1/2", but you could remove the side door and adjust it to 1/2 and reinstall the door. Maybe you are just short on HP. I know I could'nt run 30' at that speed with my combine, but then I've never ran a draper either! Craig
