SW Saskatchewan | What would really make it hot would be real time measurement of a "lot" say maybe half bushel and then dumped into combine hopper"A" or hopper"B" depending on protein level.
Would require some changes (ie adaptive software, logistics of trucking,binning ) but infrared reflectance work at Northern Montana research station five or so yrs ago looked promising.
But never seemed to go anywhere.
Made me think protein premiums are really "lack of protein" discounts. No advantage to trade to maximize high protein availability so no pressure to adopt the technology. | |
