Faunsdale, AL | What is a pipe press? All pipe I have here is welded/soldered together at the factory and we weld it when we need to repair.
If you have a good sized MIG, you can probably add a spool gun pretty cheaply and then all you need is a tank of argon instead of argon/CO2 blend. I even tried some in a small 120 volt mig and it would push the wire through the little Tweco gun just fine, but I just didnt' have the heat needed to weld anything but the thin stuff.
