You can reduce the time to convergence if you turn on "auto seed" and turn on the receiver in exactly the same place that you turned it off. You can also change a setting so it will converge at higher distance. I believe 12" is the default and I have changed a couple to 24" to get a quicker convergence. Also remember Omni HP has about 1/2 the error that SF2 has. Omni XP and SF2 are about the same as far as accuracy and repeatability. Another option is to leave the receiver on all the time. It will not kill the battery overnight on a tractor with good batteries. This does not work if you shed the tractor at night.
