You concerned about having rows with to little downpressure and planting on top? I would think planting on top or to shallow in wheel track would be a bigger concern. Of course, having to much downpressure when planting into wet soils could create a lot of issues.

Monitoring weigh pin feedback and actually seeing the information will provide the information needed to make adjustments until you know your maintaining planting depth while minimizing downpressure.

Monitoring each row and adjusting each row individually is the only way to make sure the "right" downpressure is applied to each row.

Until that technology is available we will make sure sufficient downpressue is applied accross the planter to make sure planting depth is maintained.
