Rivers, MB | I was 13 in '88 so can't go back much further than that. Remember double swathing/windrowing 12" tall wheat into 60' double swaths to make a decent swath. I think we averaged 7 or 8 bu/ac. '87 and '89 weren't much better. Dad said the yields from '87-89 added up to one average year. Hot all the time. I remember longingly looking at clouds hoping that it might drop a bit of rain.
Thanks for your memories Bobby. some of us don't have the experience that some of the older guys do. Someday, we'll remember back 50 years!
