Subject: Re: Looking At The Radar

Near-north Ontario, French River
We leave corn out quite frequently, it will shed the water and not pick up moisture although unloading it the next day will be a pain as the grain wont want to slide. Beans I would NEVER leave our if they were calling for an inch, a light drizzle yes but anything over that and the truck/wagons will be tarped or shedded. Olivers idea in theory should work, but real life experience tells me ( and maybe our Canadian rain is different lol) that a heavy rain on an exposed load of beans is asking for troubles. The top couple of inches will swell right up like jelly beans and make a mess of unloading. The beans might shed a little water but chances are the top of the load will turn to mush.
