| Nonsense! The competition is what ever the lowest cost treatment is assuming same performance. If all treatments are part of the same competitive regime lowest cost should win the market share in a functioning market. Markets that are manipulated by price fixing and collusion are not functioning markets.
The trait market is not a functioning market. There needs to be transparency and open competition in order to have a functioning market. We have neither.
Below there was a question regarding how Monsanto is price fixing Roundup with all the cheap generics available. The simple fact is Roundup is the most expense Glyposate that can be purchased, yet they still have dominate market share. Why? Simple, price fixing. The mechanics Monsanto has used to price fix Glyphosate are not simple, but they are affective none the less.
Which brings up another point, anybody got a prepay price on Roundup yet? How does it compare to last year? Guess who finally got the generic Glyphosate manufactures under control?
