Your board is the only people he needs to satisfy.  As long as he does warehousing legal there is nothing else.  I would take the truck to another elevator if I could justify the cost.  Renting a second trailer or a tandem truck might even be worth it to keep the combine going should the haul be too long.  Would not consider patronage dividends as most are not paid off for 15 to 20 years and being paid 20% of current years dividend doesn't do a lot for me.  Rather have an elevator with zero dividends and cash up front than lose 10 or 15 cents a bushel because I will get paid 18 cents a bushel down the road.  And usually it is more like you get about 12 cents down the road.
