SE Nebraska | I like to see at least 40 lbs of P205 for wheat. Getting responses to that much even when P levels are higher.
I also like to see 40-50 lbs of N in the fall for wheat, along with some Sulfur. However, if you are putting this directly on the seed, you can run into salt tolerance issues. When row spacing is 6"-8", you can go up to 30 lb of N + K20 in furrow. Below is a great guideline from KSU on wheat starter. (KSU does some great work with winter wheat, check out the Eupdates for more valuable wheat fertilty info. No thiosulfate in furrow. Haven't seen much response at all to K20 in my area, but soils are naturally high in K20.
