NW Missouri | Fence looks good.
We use six barbs and a earth anchor too but position it about one third of the distance between the posts. No problem with uprooting the corner and fence doesn't slack. Of course the fifteen inch hedge corner five feet IN the ground helps too :).
Not much of a fan of creosote. Too much of a chance I will have to replace it in my lifetime. Not a worry with the hedge. I do have some reservations about combining a hotwire with barb. I think it increases the chance of a serious injury by cutting on a barb after a shocking.
