I honestly don't know.
What I do know is that Bio diesel isn't profitable right now with road diesel near $3.00. The more we use the higher beans go the harder it is for it to be profitable. Ethanol is a slightly different story. Although, all you have to do is squeeze ethanol on the board, which is being done somewhat right now. Corn and ethanol are seperately traded commodities. Force corn up and ethanol down and it could be a bloodbath, regardless of political support. There are plenty of entities out there with the capital to do it.

Sure there was. WWI was a huge boom for certain sectors of the Ag economy, as was WWII. This may be nothing more than a War on Terrorism boom, although how long it will last isn't certain. One thing is certain, and that's that costs get built in and profitability fades. | |
