Hunting clubs don't help either. We've killed way over 100 on this farm in hunting season and thought we had them thined out good. By planting season new ones had moved in from elsewhere and they were just as thick as ever. I have given up on controlling them by shooting. I enjoyed hunting when I was a boy and deer were much scarce and it was a real acomplamishment to get a nice buck, but now it's just a job. I think our only hope is some kind of devestating desease to wipe them out. I also think a good program for the state would be to pay a bounty on each one killed, say $5 for each tail turned in. Kids could shoot them after school and make spending money and have something construtive to do. But in todays politiical climate, it would never happen here.
