Using about anyone's software you can create a Prescription that is formula based. Meaning you can make it do whatever you want.
You simply write a formula (this is ISU's) that goes like this [verbiage will vary with software programs]


RESULT= ([Estimated Volume (Dry)] * 1.500) /.6


**1.5 = Potash removal per bu of soybeans**
this equation will then apply a rate of murate of potash (0-0-60) to a grid cell with avg bushels in it

i.e. say a 60x60 ft grid in a field averaged 34bu the formula would just take 34*1.5 (51) /.6 to convert to actual pounds K. then software does it over and over and over again. Without geo refrenced soil tests, you'd have to take a ballpark figure for leftover K and build that into the equation say something like RESULT= (( [Estimated Volume (Dry)] * 1.500) - [soil k]) /.6



then of course you'd need a way to apply the product prescription.
