You have to run apex with the 2600,who needs all that grief.
I have two brown boxes and I will stay with them at least for now,I see nothing that impresses me about the 2600.
The only reason you would use Apex is if you were mapping, to unload the data. If you map with the brown box you will need Apex. If you don't map with the 2600 you won't need Apex.
