NW Iowa | We've ran ours two years now. Real happy with the spacing. the seed discs are so big they don't spin very fast which we feel gives the better spacing. i was a little concerned when dad sped up to 7.5-7.7 mph planting. we did slow done to 6.5-7.0 mph in the same field. couldn't even tell the difference in spacing, i was a little amazed. the neighbor plants around 6 mph with his 1200 and his spacing isn't any better then ours. we do plant most however in the 6.7-6.8 mph range. we did have a problem with the monitor the last day, but after installing a new one we were up and running again. all in all very happy with the 1200 planter, will diffently look at other one when this one wears out. | |
