In 2002 we had to dry-lot our entire cow herd. We fed about 60-70% corn with the balance hay and enough Rumensin to keep the bloat at bay. You can actually cut the total feed back by feeding more corn and still maintain adequate nutritional plane. Don't expect the cows to be happy. They will bawl at you every time they see you but they won't loose weight. Just make sure you have enough Rumensin in them.
