Generally speaking when using shapefiles to analyze data you need the following 3 files......dbf, shp and shx. Also if you have a prj file it helps but is not needed. If you need some help still let me know, I currently have a ARCVIEW 9.2 version I am playing around with. Just make sure you have COPIES of all your data stored elsewhere in the event of a screw up!!!!!!!!!
